David partnered with Jon Cain to design and build the studio in 2012, a partnership that continued until early 2022. Kalmusky’s personal work with Journey, Jon’s solo work, as well as Neal Schon’s solo projects, include over a dozen releases. The great John Till left us today. From an era whe The great John Till left us today. From an era where no contemporaries EVER sounded like each other, John was beyond an identifiable guitarist whom left his mark on the world from as far back as The Revols, The Hawks, through Janis Joplin’s Full Tilt Boogie Band, Plum Loco and the countless musicians and acts John played with and was revered by. What an indescribable gift it has been to grow up, literally from being a child forming who I am as a person and a musician, to making the journey myself, from sitting side stage (Sometimes ON stage sitting on my dad’s amp) as an infant, to playing on stage WITH John, and the incredible circles of musicians John and my father traveled in, I can’t even use the word “Influenced”. I am definitely a complete “Result” of the music these guys made, and I am always aware of John’s presence in my DNA when I play guitar on stage, and records to date. Deep condolences to Dorcas, Michael, Shawn, and your families from Myself, Kim, Sandra, Karen, Bob, Janis, and our extended families. The Kalmusky’s and the Till’s have been bonded over generations from grandparents, Laura, Walter, Mary, to Us “The Kids” and the Taylors… We’re all feeling this with you, and thinking of you today. John’s Legacy is alive and well, what an honor for me, to have had such a friend and mentor.
