She kept her passion alive for this song, through new motherhood, a worldwide pandemic, and a career explosion with 4x Grammy Nominations for the album “Remember Her Name” which was also listed on Rolling Stone’s all time best Country Soul Albums, (on which this same team wrote / produced the song “Words”) This new record comes out of the gate with 3.5 out of 4 Stars on Rolling Stone, check it out on all streaming platforms! Mark Rubel was truly the most enlightened recordin Mark Rubel was truly the most enlightened recording engineer, historian and educator I believe our planet has ever seen. He was a quiet humble giant of his craft. Funny, brilliant, he had attained more knowledge than anyone I’ve ever met. I feel that compelled him, in his respect and love for the art of engineering, music production and recording, to pass it all along and share his brilliance and wealth of knowledge, by teaching. The result of that, was truly the greatest audio educator that I have ever met and personally, I believe, the planet has ever seen. He became family to those he befriended, and is simply irreplaceable to any he connected with at any level. He’s forever a part of every recording myself and my team members past and present (which he always hand picked for me) will make in our lifetimes. Our hearts are with Nancy, Marks family, and this whole community who have all lost a mentor, brother and friend. Rather than think of the tremendous loss, and the unfillable void left by Mark’s passing, I like to think about the monumental impact Mark had on so many 1000’s of lives. He inspired and connected inspired people, most of the days of his entire life. To the great Mark Rubel!

David partnered with Jon Cain to design and build the studio in 2012, a partnership that continued until early 2022.
